OK maybe BMW does make an ugly bike LOL.

Yep. I see it this way too. They create modern art. So to some folks, all BMW's are ugly and to others they are all beautiful. But no one can claim they aren't unusual.

Montauk - beauty or ugly?

How about this - beauty contest winner, or a face only a mother could love?

Like many things in the motorcycle world, it is subjective.

The big problem is that bike manufacturers have found an easy way to sell and ugly bike. They know that some men will simply do whatever it takes to meet women. So they capitalize on this male instinct.

Say you’re at a bike show. You look around and you see a bike. Not just any bike, but an ugly bike! Ick! But behold, on top of that hideous bike is an amazingly attractive female. The only thing you can say is “Wow, what a hot……..bike!”

Now for most men the formula is x + y = xy (where x = ugly bike, y = attractive female, and xy = ugly bike + attractive female).

Some however see it as x + y = z (where x = ugly bike, y = attractive female, and z = “wow, that bike will make me a chick magnet” or "if she likes that bike then it must be cool!")

I’m not quite sure why some men keep falling for this trick, but manufacturers have caught on and will continue to capitalize on this for as long as men desire women (which is forever) men will continue to buy products for this reason.
