I can't say for sure, but it sounds like you have me beat. I've done a couple hundred in a day many times. I make a couple trips a year up to Michigan from Ohio and it's about 250 miles. I tend to stop a lot when I ride and take in the sights. It's hard to put a lot of miles in when you do that.

Did 1019 miles in three days going to the Dragon and back, but I have no idea what the per day tallies were. I would have to say day one was the longest since we rode from Marysville, Ohio (NW of Columbus) all the way to Knoxville, Tennessee before calling it a day. That's roughly 400 miles by freeway, but we (of course) took the scenic route.

Actually I know several people who have done the Saddle Sore 1000. With a little planning it seems like it can be done with time to spare. Most are saying they finished theirs in 18-19 hours without riding stupid speeds.

The most I have is about 750 miles in a day. The weird thing is that I wasn't really trying to put big miles down. I just had somewhere to go so I went there, took care of some things, had lunch and came home. Adding another few hundred miles was certainly within reason. I don't think I would want to do it on a cruiser, though. Don't know if my back could take it. I guess it is what you get used to.
I would be the old, slow guy. Just let me know where you are going and I'll try to get there before you leave.

I have.

Here in Canada though it is called a SaddleSore 1600km.

Did mine 6 months after I got my motorcycle license two years ago. almost got another one while competing in the Alberta 2000 Rally last year, but missed out by 44km.

Planning to do another SS16k this year, as well as a Bun Burner 2500k - 2500km in 36hrs.

I've done a 600 KM day, followed the next day by a 1000 KM day. And then the reverse 4 days later. The last 600 KM day was bucking high winds and heavy rain, got a little stiff that day, mostly becuase I was busy holding the wife up and fairly cramped.

Wasn't too bad for me, but the wife was complaining about a sore butt alot..... but the crazy woman is ready to do it again. :?

She's obviously a glutton for punishment, in many ways....
No Witnesses.... :shifty:
