How about up near where Scan is. The Dayton/Yellow Springs area is about a hour or so ride for me. And that is if I take the Interstate the whole way. With no wind sheild on the bike. Is it about the same from Marysville?
As far as length and destination, I would prefer a day ride and be able to be back home in the evening. But I am flexible.

Yellow Springs is fine. And yeah, it's about an hour from me, too.

The longer the better for me. If the weather really cooperates, I'd love to do the Triple Nickel again. Unless, of course, there's a comparable ride in the South West area.
Seems more south-central really but either way. Any sound appealing? Also, I read on another site somewhere, but I can't remember where now, that pretty much any state highway in Ohio that has a 3 digit designation is a good ride. We could just pick one and go or something. Would the 555 be an overnighter? Seems pretty far out to the east.
My dad, brother-in-law, and I rode out to the 555 around 1:00pm and returned around 9:00pm, after a jaunt through downtown Columbus. It is definitely not an over-nighter, but it is an all-dayer!
There's a chance that I can go. If I can set up a babysitter, I'm going. Well, maybe not for the entire ride. I figure I can afford about six hours of babysitting, so I'll just head back home once we're three hours out. If you guys wanted to meetup in Yellow Springs, that would be super! My daughter has soccer that morning, so maybe we could depart from our house right after.
There's a route that both Scan and I have done that's really nice. It goes in a triangle of sorts... from Yellow Springs, head in a south/southeast direction toward the Ohio River (at one point using Rte. 247 from Hillsboro as mentioned at the link T-bonee supplied). Then head west along the river toward Cincinnati. And then back northeast toward Yellow Springs. I would end up just backtracking when my babysitter timer is half-way done, and Scan could keep going with the rest of you. T-bonee would be heading back into his area, and then Zoo - well, Zoo would get the most ride time. If we're talking the Triple Nickel though, I'd have to bow out - just not enough time. Scan would probably still go.
Cheers,
Loonette

That's fine by me.

Excellent! What time is the soccer practice done? That way i can plan what time to leave here.
Also, just to let you all know, this is my first group ride so take it easy on me. And my wife just informed me last night that she wanted to come along too. I just started riding two up with her so hopefully the route isn't too complex.
Heh, funny you ask. I hadn't even confirmed her game time when I posted all that, but luckily she plays the early game that day (yay!!). Scan and I could be ready to go around 11:00 - maybe 11:15 at the very latest. If you and Zoo got to our place around 10:30 or 10:45, it would work out pretty well.
Scan took a ride today, which leaves tomorrow as my day to ride. I might venture out in the direction of the route we mentioned and see what it's like. More later...
Cheers,
Loonette
