Aflundi's thread inspired this rant
You don't ride often just because of cars? That is rather unfortunate.swatter555 wrote: I dont ride in adverse weather, not because I cant control my bike, but because people cant control their cars. I dont commute on my bike, not because I dont like riding my bike on a daily basis, but because Im not going to give cages that much of an opportunity to kill me.

Nah, I ride as often as I want, usually 2-3 times per week. To be honest, I think commuting over a long period of time is pretty dangerous. Commuting often entails riding in heavy traffic conditions on a daily basis. Thats just too much risk for my blood. I like to keep a low profile, that includes just riding for fun.Mintbread wrote:You don't ride often just because of cars? Word to that, tooth! A lot of things people do out on the streets are foolish and dangerous, but it's a good show! I would never street race on a bike, but it's fun to watch two sports bike take off the line while i'm commuting in my car. Foolish? Yes! Dangerous? Yes! Exciting to watch? Yes! Provides a lot of variety in the biking world? Yes!Sweet Tooth wrote:I really dont care who wears or drives what or what they look likem who am I to judge? If that's what they want, then good for them. I think it's great to have that much variety out there, otherwise the sport would just be monotonous.
There are a lot of posers, but people can simply do what they want. That's the beauty of living in a free country. Open your mind, fool!
