Dealers Love Beginners

All motorcycle dealers love beginners, new first time sales to beginners, for those that never owned a bike before are 90% of their sales volume. In a nice way, im being nice, if you purchaced a new bike from a dealer, don't expect him to kiss your know what when you walk into the dealership, even if you wanta buy another bike, the dealer is going to give more attention to the beginner before he waits on you. My dealer was all lovey dovey to me when I bought my new bike, I went in a month later to purchace another new bike for my son, I was treated like dirt even when i was planning on paying cash on the bike he wanted. No problem i went to another dealer and purchaced the same bike. I have talked to other people about how they are treated after the sale and they are in total agreement with me. I think most dealers have a guilty conscience thinking everybody is going to automaticly hate them after they make the sale. Im a guy that buys a new bike or an ATV almost every year and so many dealers have pi**ed me off over the years im running outta dealers to go too.

One of mine sends me a thankyou card every time I buy something from him.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

I have recently found an extremely honest dealership who gives me just what i ask for each time. Greater Boston Motorsports. Cannot say enough good about them

They also send me a thank you card along with gift certificates to their gear/parts shop. Nice people.

They may thank you, and be nice, but in the end, theyre in it for the money, and if they can make more off beginers....

although it is nice to find the ones who treat you well and remember your name.

I hate that, actually. Too phoney.

I get a friggin' birthday card and phone call from one dealer every year still, 5 years after I bought the machine. I find it creepy....

hell yea i much rather have them take the time or make an attempt to make sure that i am happy with the sale then do nothing.

a week after i bought my car i got a call from the dealership asking everything from hows it running, to cusotmer service, to what could be better etc. it made me feel like they care. then again maybe all car dealers do this i dont know

I went for an oil change with my mazda pickup while I was on holidays in southern ontario, a dealership 9 hours away, and I still get wierd little post cards saying "time for another oil change/service" even though I went there once, and sold that truck 2 years ago...
