I saw a Meansteak at the Motorsports store today and it was gorgeous. The only conern I had was the handle bar, it just looked like it would be a PIA to turn. They looked to short.

They probably are for some folks. There are a number of different risers available for the Mean Streak to address that concern, though. For me they are in the perfect position, and Loonette (all 5'2" of her) has no problem reaching them or being comfortable. It may also be due to the type of bike you're on now. My best friend is pretty much the same size as me (same inseam, shirt size, and height) but he rides a Sportster 883 with buckhorn bars. Whenever he sits on my bike he complains about the reach to the bars and having to lean forward. On the same token, I think his bike feels like a recliner.

I agree, my husband has the 1600 Vulcan Classic with the beach comber bars and thats just an odd grip for me. To each his own! A diffrent riser is an easy fix, I wouldn't let it discourage me from buying it.

Just an observation: The AMID show in SA 4 years ago now had HD pull all of their offerings out of the show on account of too many bikes being dropped and damaged. No other manufacturer has ever done this and we believe (rumour) that there is no floor show allowed for HD because of this.
To put this in perspective, the show is at the Kyalami race track and the manufacturers line up their offerings and the public (must be licensed) can pay a small insurance premium from about 2 to ten dollars and then ride the bikes around the track UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF A MARSHALL. How then is it that HD's get dropped, there is a huge cruiser following in SA but stick a HD on a track and it gets dropped. I ask this because I ride sportbikes or sport tourers. I have ridden cruisers and HD's but never for any length of time. Why is it we see Honda's and Kawa's riding to the rally's but we rarely if ever see the HD's. A comparison was asked for and so far the owners of the Mean Streaks are so far ahead there is no comparison. You do not have to ask for passion it leaks out of the screen.
I spent my therapy money an a K1200S
The therapy worked, I got a GS now
A touch of insanity crept back in the shape of an R1200R

The mean streak is a very nice bike! If I was to get another cruiser, it would probably be either the Meanie or the Warrior. Both because of their chassis and suspensions. (However, I'd have to do some research to figure out how to fix the warrior tracking problem).

I don't have a need to go insane speeds (anything over 100 is superfluous if you ask me), so the Meanie would no doubtedly be more than adequate. But I think it would be hard for me to go back to a cruiser now that I am spoiled with excessive cornering clearance on my Interceptor. That, and the 100lbs less that it weighs, while having similar rwhp to the Warrior (although, I must admit the extra 60 ft-lbs of torque the Warrior has probably makes a big difference...haha).

Either way, I would love to own either of them, as long as I still have some kind of sporty-std bike for my corner carving.
