I always classify riders in two types. There's the talent, the god given natural talent, that's Freddy Spencer Kevin Shwantz who just dances the thing through the corner.
Then there's the shere bloody minded how to do this, I will win and I will figure out how to win. And I think maybe Wayne Raine fits into that class and Kenny Roberts, EddyLawson, Wayne Gerver the Australian chapion, he was a thouroughly single minded individual when it came to racing, he would force the bike to do his will.
Rossi combines the two, he has the analysis, the calculating machine of a Lawson, the talent of a Schwantz, and the personality of Barry Shoe... I don't think you can produce those on a conveyer belt, they are born, and only once a generation .
