you mean for the 600? then yeah. i will take that advice. i'd go 750 but there's no red/black for it.

but like i said, it also depends on availability.

lol so ya would by a 750 as long as it is red and black ???

I think the dood who lifted ya bike has saved your life ;)

This is a good point. VX, you really should consider getting a different bike for now. XR650L's come in red/black too you know

verm.... isnt there a free way to do the TRE mod? I know on my SV you can do it without buying a fancy tre controller. I havent done it since mine has a powercommander in it anyways and that is supposed to do it.
I also think a 600 is a better idea, even from a pure performance standpoint. the 600 corners better and every good cyclist knows that corners are where men are seperated from boyz. all it takes to pull back the throttle on a litrebike is balls, it takes skill and balls to get through the corner. plus, the 600 might be easier to get your knee down and add the wear marks to your knee pucks

Theres just something about a blue bike....
Throttle on man, Throttle on....

never heard of a way to remove the limiter w/o using a TRE.

i like both speeds...

sure, anyone can gun the throttle and go fast straight... but having a great start from a stop is an art by itself. also, it takes skill to push each gear to its limit in the shortest amunt of time.

but yeah, i still like cornering a little better. :)

im also curious how much easier it will be to manuever a 600 compared to my previous 1000.

Verm- you owe it to yourself to at least go to a Triumph dealership and check one of these out. I saw one in person for the first time last night. It's quite small and slim, and lightweight. For a smaller person (not me, I'm 6'1" 240lbs), it would be a canyon-carving rocketship!

The triple engine is also going to give you a broader power band, make the bike easier to manage in around-town riding. You should at least check it out, IMO.
