Have you ever seen a cow get smaller in the rain? :)
I went to wear them the other day for the first ride after winter and could barely get the darn things on! I really hope the effect was them shrinking (and not me 'growing'!!)
LOL I hate to break it to you but.... :)

Maybe the chaps stiffened up through lack of use. Maybe after a few wears, they'll fit better....

Maybe....you need to buy new chaps.... :)

hahaha Thanks a lot dude. I hate to break it to ya but leather/rawhide DOES shrink. I googled it and remembered: Each time it gets wet (from rain, sweat, whatever) and dries, it shrinks. I just bought my chaps at the end of last season and I dont think I gained enough leg mass for them not to fit. I'm not trying to be defensive but it sure is coming out that way! no gal likes to face that she may have outgrown 6 month old chaps!

C'mon.. haven't you ever seen in the westerns when the guys in jail tie a big piece of rawhide from their cowboy vests around the bars and wet it. They get freed as the leather shrinks and the bars spread apart for them to escape.

DOH! I'm so sorry! I didn't realize you were female! I would *never* insinuate that a "lady" was getting "bigger"! :)

I just (5 years ago) moved from Vancouver to Nashville. I only started riding last December so I never got the opportunity to ride in BC (or NS, for that matter) but I bet both places have some awesome rides.

Then again, most rides are "awesome" as long as you are on a bike!

Well, shawnking, if you ever find yourself back this way again, there are plenty of folks around here to show you around on the good biking roads.

LOL Thanks! I can't imagine how much it would cost to ship my bike back there but, if I ever move back "home" (Halifax or Vancouver) you can bet I'd ride my bike! :)
