I have the Firstgear mesh jacket (and their zip-to-jacket mesh/textile pants) and I love it. Got the jacket new on sale for $70 on ebay.

It feels like you have nothing on as *any* air movement goes right thru. The pants aren't as "meshy" but are comfortable in the heat. Together they're more comforatble in the heat than jeans/tshirt, no excuse not to gear-up in the summer.

And if you get caught out in the rain, they weigh next to nothing wet and dry "instantly" as mesh doesn't absorb water. Not bad in the rain w/o raingear as long as it's warm enough outside to wear the mesh.

I bought this one from vanson leathers:

Its actually $199 now, but they're phasing out that model for a newer one. Better to order from them over the phone than online. Its a good jacket and is claimed to have armor that exceeds CE 2005 specs.

After lots of shopping around for a mesh jacket I went with this one :) I can't imagine a better jacket.

Schott has been around FOREVER and makes awesome stuff.

well i just went out and purchase a CBR600 and bought an awsome jacket that i simply love. Joe Rocket's mesh jackets are mint! there are all kinds of vents that you can zipper open and close at any time. It has all kinds of protection, and isnt as HOT as people might think a jacket maybe in the summer. Paid around 275.00 (Cdn) for it which is pretty good considering that jacket your getting.

Have fun ridding this year everyone! I am sure i will!

Some of it's a muscle issue but mostly it's them big eastern european bones I inherited... lol. I wear short sleeved shirts at work all year long, just for that reason.
