The best part is watching people reactions...most people like it...give me the thumbs up. Other are like what is it a motorcycle or a scooter....
The best part is when people see me on it...then a few days later recongize me on my Harley...and they are like....ummmm....and I say yes...that was me.
it does ooze machismo compared to the typical scooter...

Oh...I'm not getting a divorce...she has grown weary of cleaning up drool every time a nice cruiser went by! And spent waaaay too much on earplugs to filter out my droning on about how much fun it would be to have a bike!
So, she has realized (after 11 years) that maybe it's not a phase that I will outgrow...she's just going to increase my life insurance payout and live with it!

Sorry, I misunderstood your first post. Hopefully she'll come around and want to start riding with you!
When everything is coming your way, you're in the wrong lane.
Welcome aboard! We used to live in Sacramento - Off Watt Ave. between Arden Way and Fair Oaks. The thing I miss the most... being able to get to both the coast and the Sierra Nevadas in less than two hours. There's lots of beautiful riding terrain in your area. Enjoy your time in the MSF course and with buying your first bike.
Incidentally, my husband was also offering up divorce papers for years over biking, but eventually gave up. At my urging, he took the MSF course a couple of weeks after I did and he fell in love. Maybe your wife will see things differently once you get going. Stay safe!!
Cheers,
Loonette
