Can't Find Fairings!!

#1 Unread post by Tazmn23 »

Well, I just bought an 1988 FZ600.....for 350$. I can't seem to find the Rear fairings to this bike. I was wondering if any of you might have some ideas on where I can get some. I looked on ebay, and googled for about 2 hours. I found some from the United Kingdon, but eh....its the United Kingdom...I don't even know their currency there :/. Or, if anyone is selling an FZ600 (1988) and they have the rear fairings they would sell me, that would be great! Thanks in advance.

Check your local motorcycle scrap yards, or even non local, theres quite a few online.

I deal with B&R Motorcycle Salvage, its in Southern Ontario, Canada, but I have ordered plastics from the the states, and havent had any problesm with the shipping or at the boarder, I think the reverese should apply.

this is their Ebay store, you may have some luck there, or email them.

Well, I have looked all over the internet for some. I havent really tried to hard on motorcycle salvages. I thought about calling some out of state ones, and see if they could ship it...I dunno, Ill keep trying. Also, I dont think it would be very easy on creating a custom tail fin from another bike :/.

Every now and then they sell a rear fender on E-Bay. If you come across the front bottom fairing let me know, I'm looking for em.

well, they sell those bottom front fairings everywhere. They mainly go for around 80-100$. If you look on like bing.com or search Maier USA they sell 'em. I called the Yamaha dealership and they said they discontinue the rear fairings :(

Yea, I looked at the ebay store. It looks like they are selling some side lower fairings, but thats about it. I really just need the side Rear fairings. Thats the only part they discontinued for some odd reason. I have tried e-mailing a bunch of salvage yars around the U.S. and I guess im just waiting for a respone. I think I will still tag the bike and ride it without the rear fairings though, because im not all just about looks, its about the ride too.
