Radiator, 2003 Yami R6

#1 Unread post by TeamONEinc »

Is anyone familiar as to whether or not they make aftermarket radiators for sportbikes? I am just becoming familiar with motorcycles and my knowledge lags. I have put Fluidyne radiators on my cages and I was cruising this past Sunday on my bike when I hit freeway traffic. My balls aren't big enough to ride between the stopped cars so I just sat and waited and waited. My temp rose to 218 when my heat sensor shut the bike off.

Do you guys recommend any particular radiator fluid i should try, or are aware of any aftermarket companies that provide radiators that are more efficient?

thanks,
Chad.

What do you mean your heat sensor "shut off your bike?" That is normally when the fan should come on. Most newer sportbike fans come on around this temp...212 - 220 degrees F.
CHECK YOUR TIRE PRESSURE REGULARLY!!!

Now that you mention it, I dont remember my fan coming on at all that day. Weird it didnt come on. It has come on during previous rides. I'll have to check it out.
