I just want him to admit he hates to look of scooters and doesnt want to be seen on one
Actually, I like scooters, especially vintage Vespas. but with rare exception, the rest look like krap (Big Ruckus??). I've got no beef against the Burgman's, but the styling is weak at best. I do like the Vespa GranTurismo 250cc, but it's almost $6K out the door and I'm not sure how it's gonna climb a mountain.

I'm just sayin'...

Have you checked out the Kaw EX500 or 650? Although they have plastic that looks like a sport bike, I've found their riding position is much closer to a standard. Non-sport bikes in the equivalent hp range are also the midrange cruisers (Vulcans, V-Stars, C40/50, Shadows), from the big 4.

I'm really into the vintage look.
I'm thinking classic Triumph, Bridgestone, Norton, Indian, early Harley.
The Kawasaki 800 Drifter is getting a second look, although I'd be sorely tempted to repaint it and add too much chrome.

Ducati? Lov 'em, but the insurance in Hawaii is BRUTAL!

Aloha
