One thing that I've noticed helps me get people off my f-ing rear is to start countersteering left and right a bit in my lane so I'm rocking laterally and to a cager behind me it looks like I might be losing my balance and about to fall off. That usually gets them to give a little distance because more often than not they really don't want to run us over, deep down.

It's either I'm special or I have a deep understanding of a certain something or none of the above.

Thats one of the funniest things I've read in a long time. Altho around here I don't think it would work. The peeps here can & will run over bikers.

I hate tailgaters and people who mes with me. I've already scared the "pee" out of two people who tried to "fudge" with me on the road. My truck's brakes work really well, even in the rain, and I'm not afraid.

Probably the most crazy donkey thing I've ever done was when I was driving a cage in the snow. I had chains on so I could only go 35 max. The car behind me would not get off my "O Ring", and this is in heavy friggin ice snow, there's no need to be driving above 25 anyway. So I gave him the signals... brake tapping and whatnot, but after a while I was getting pissed. Then one of the tire chains broke so pissed escalated to infuriated. I slammed on the brakes and skidded into a driveway, laughing as the car behind me slid around at all sorts of angles kicking up snow . Fortunately he regained control and passed me. Fortunately because thinking back even though it made me feel better to show a jerk driver the value of following distance, it was really stupid on my part almost causing the guy to wreck.

Yeah it's not bike related, but the road rage topic made me remember.

Quite a few people end up DEAD participating in Road Rage.

It's just not worth being killed over, what usually is a minor incident.

Stay out of it & avoid conflict with other motorists if you can.

Sometimes you just can't....I know from experience, so the best thing to do is use the bikes power & zoom off.

We are not allowed to pack guns here in OZ so I assume most people are un-armed. Still not worth finding out the hard way.
