best insurance company?
best insurance company?
I am in the process of looking for insurance for a hopefully-soon-to-be-first-bike, and was had a couple of questions.
What insurance companies have you dealt with, and which would you recommend?
Are there any insurance companies that you would stay away from?
Not only for beginners, but also for everyone else. I'm not thinking just of price (although that's most important to me, right now), but also of quality of service. Were they there when you needed them?

Have had Progressive since purchasing my first bike... gave us a multi bike discount when we had 4 in the garage (two starter bikes, and two 'second level' bikes).
When I wrecked in July '04 on my near new Beemer, they repaired it (over $3K damage) AND took care of the first $1,000 in medical, AND replaced my crashed in gear... $1,000.
I like that they're nationwide. Dairyland is another one that is recommended often.

it alll depends on how long you have been with the company and how many "points" you have. I have been with state farm fro 10 years and no one (not even progressive) can beat the rate I get through them.
