Hello everyone...I came across this site yesterday and have been reading through the message boards...mostly in the Newbie section as that's what I am. I don't have any motorcycle riding experience...unless you count a quick spin down the street on a moped 15 years ago. I've always wanted to fly (safely) down the street on a bike since I can remember. I like both the sport bikes and the cruiser types. I'm scheduled for the MSF course in July...man they fill up fast. I've been doing a lot of research on what kind of bike to purchase for a beginner...and from reading this board, I've narrowed it down some...but still need assistance...I'll post my question on the newbie section. Man, I can't wait to get on the road on my new bike...of course which will be purchased after the MSF class is taken.
Anyway, hope all is well, and ride safe.
Vicki

I would say that if you are just starting out do what everybody else does and get some kind of 600, but if you know that you are going to be riding a while and you are into it alot, get something bigger because i upgraded quite quickly and you get a better ride and bike when you go bigger theres nothing better than riding my 1000 after riding a 600 and ill never go back only bigger.
