New Rider, Good FIRST Bike?

I don't think most of the bikes in classifieds are Harleys... I see more hondas than anything, which makes sense, because they sell alot of bikes.

Back to topic: that bike would be good, similar to what they use in MSF classes. Buuuutttt, you can still kill yourself on it, just like any other bike, it does greatly increase you chances of not crashing though.

if i lived in a place where the classifieds were full of these harleys that 150 sees, i'd have two in my garage instead of a 750 shadow and a 250 ninja.

time to move, since i bet all the women are gorgeous, the beer makes you skinny and it never rains while you ride in this paradise

Probably the same reason that over here the majority of bikes for sale are sportsbikes.

We area sportsbike culture and there are more of them around than anything else, so there are more of them for sale.

I have yet to see a surplus of harleys, I actually tend to se more japanese bikes due to the massive quantity of them on the market.

On a side note, if they were as bad as you make them out to be, and every one who owns one, hates it, wouldnt they stop making them. No market for a bike everyone hates.... bad buisness sense....

Did you ownh a harley, or are you just going on second hand knowledge? Every manufatured item, be it a bike, car, truck or what ever can make a lemon. For every Die hard Ford fan that has never had aproblem with their vehicle there are just as many people who wouldnt buy one because "Mr X had one and it was allways in the shop" same goes with Dodges or Yamahas or Harleys or what ever. You dont like them, dont buy one, but why spew this sort of crap on the forum? Sour grapes?
