Passed MSF today, was way easier then I thought. Go for it!

Before my first class on Friday I never been on a moving motorcycle, never drove a manual, and always thought that pressing on the gear shifted up instead of down (seemed logical to me). Never really thought about how you shifted back down...

I would say it came naturally to me which in a sense it may have, but there were about 3 others that never rode before and they caught on quick too so it can't be that hard.

I was on a honda shadow 250CC. I'm 6'4 and was able to ride it but it definitely wasn't comfortable. Main prob was in u-turns knees were hitting. One myth I do want to kill is that a 250CC bike can't pull a big guy. I'm not little myself. My weight is mainly height. However there was a guy there like 370 5'10 and that bike pulled just like a small guy was on it. As far as max speed with his weight I dunno but it picked up.

Will do a lot more practice before I hit the streets but I'm picking up my hayabusa1300cc tomorrow (just kidding).

I found the same thing in the course - had a heck of a time doing tight turns or u-turns cuz the handlebar would hit my knees so I ended up switching to a bigger bike an hour before the test. Still passed tho.

I'm getting very anxious for my class this weekend. The butterflies are killing me. I'll probably quit sleeping on Thursday.

I went by a bike shop the other day and was flatout stunned by how big the bikes looked (in real life) compared to surfing the internet and looking at bikes there. I guess that's contributing to my nervousness. Glad to hear that it wasn't as tough as I'm thinking.
