Getting bike tomorrow, a couple questions
I have no idea where you guys get the idea that the SV650 is fast????? Its faster than a cruiser bike, yes, but the SV650 is much slower than the Yamaha FZ6, YF6, and the Honda CBR600. The SV is concidered as a beginners bike the 1/4 mile on it is 14:27 . I did ride one and I know, this bike has no low end torque, acceleration is boring, it will go fast but you have to gear down and time it out.

Besides the obvious checking to find any sign of the bike being set down at some point (any body damage) you should check for a lot of the usual things you check for on a car. Leaking fluid, free movement of all controls, if they let you take it on a test ride all the better. Tire wear, break pads, and other consumables can be a good way to barter down a price if they need replacing, but that is if you want to nickel and dime. Show up, throw out an offer and see what happens, and enjoy your new bike.

70 is HUGE for a lawnmower. It only puts out about 70 hp.
70 is nothing for a race vehicle
70 is still enough to cause trouble if you don't respect it.
good luck and be careful
