i think chaning out the signals do have some practical reasons. One my FJ1200, they;re huge! I know its only a matter of time before i rip one off manueavering it around my tiny garage:

i'm not sure if i'll get rid of the fender, but the signals are definatly going to change.

I did mine for $0 too, well actually it cost me the gas to get to my dad's house. its rather simple.
