just a thought why not use a back pack?zenman wrote:Is there a way to put saddle bags or the equivalent on those things? I would seriously consider buying one, but I need to carry things...at least a few things.

If you are talking about the Ninja 250 and you are like me, I don't particularly like the feeling of a big knapsack on my back when riding, especially if it is fairly full. I have taken to using the tying hooks and have a few different lengths of bungee cords that I'm presently using. And I'd like to find a small cargo net soon too.ofblong wrote:just a thought why not use a back pack?zenman wrote:Is there a way to put saddle bags or the equivalent on those things? Ya right,
there are only 2 kinds of bikes: It's a Ninja... look that one's a Harley... oh there's a Ninja... Harley...Ninja...

Get saddle bags?
Definitely would not reccomend a backpack... pretty much EVER. With a backpack, depending on how much stuff you put into it, your ability to roll if you ever crash will be greatly hindered... so says my brother who's been in a few over the years (whew.. ditched the responsibility). As for your bike... AWESOME! I love the yellow on that bike, and from what I've read you have enough overhead room to fight with the bigger bikes, like the 500cc (I think it was a 'Bang for your Buck' column in Motorcyclist or something). Cheers on the bike!
Lenny: Hey George I want a dog.
George: Shut up Lenny, you're too stupid for a dog.
Lenny: At least I'm not an @ssoff.

Congrats!
Congrats on your new bike! It is a beaut. I am also looking to get a 250 as my first bike and I have been having a heckuva time trying to find a reasonably-priced used one in my area (RTP, NC), as they seem to be in high demand now with the weather warming up.
