First of all.....
:welcome:

Second, Have you checked out the Beginner's Guide? There are also stickies and the Learn To Ride A Motorcycle page which is now downloadable in PDF format (Created and maintained by Dragonhawk).

Third, I also recommend an MSF course and reviewing your state’s (province’s/territory’s) DMV or DOT website for licensing information, guidelines and FAQ.

Fourth, Go to a variety of dealers and sit on all kinds of different motorcycles. Even if you don’t think you’d like the ride when you look at it. I was dead set on one riding style when I started and ended up buying a different type. You may surprise yourself as well.

Fifth, Good Luck and Have Fun! I hope you enjoy this site! Be sure to...:spreadtheword:

I'm located about 2 hours East of Cleveland near Erie PA.

Welcome! I a from OH, near Wheeling, WV area. I have a bunch of friends in Willoughby Hills, so I've been there a few times.

Have fun at the MSF. It is a worthwhile investment.

Welcome. I'm in Cincinnati. Check out the Local Motorcycle Forums here. viewforum.php?f=21 there is a long running Ohio thread. We are also planning up a June ride. The May ride was a blast.
A dog had his chain reduced one link at a time, every few days, until his chain was so short he could barely move. He never resisted because he was conditioned to the loss of his freedom slowly, over time. Are we in this country becoming like the dog?
