How boring is that?

I thought it was funny. So did some other folks. *shrugs*

I guess I'll disagree again. :P

Poking fun at HD's marketing genius (and it is brilliant, no doubt) is fun every once in a while. Sure it's been done before. It's become a classic!

It's good and good for you. Like a nice bowl of chicken soup.

When you are riding do you hear your engine? For me the only time I hear the engine is when I want to hear it. For example I only hear it when I am shifting, while crusing down the HW at 65MPH I stop hearing the engine or the wind noise and enjoy the scenery or the twisties (at much less than 65MPH).

Lets not loose sight of the fact that is why 90% of us are here - to see the scenery and feel the freedom that motorcycles give us. It doenst matter what you are sitting on just that you are sitting on it.

The last "Harley bashing" thread was started by someone who was clearly here trolling for a flame-war. He stated his opinions as facts and was really only here to start a fight. He was an idiot. That thread was eventually locked, and rightly so.

On the other hand, the article in the original link, (I haven't bother with the two subsequent ones), was so clearly satire that you would have to be very thin-skinned indeed to have taken much offense from it.

As for the statement that differences of opinion aren't tolerated on these forums, all I can say is that I disagree. I have seen people disagree civilly on many different matters without people setting their hair on fire about it. It even seems quite tolerable for people to have different opinions about what motorcycles they like/dislike. What isn't tolerated though is people coming in and having a circle-jerk about how inferior one brand of motorcycle is to another and how only a complete moron would ride one.

This is supposed to be a community of like-minded people - motorcycle enthusiasts. We are all individuals with differnt ideas, senses of humour and life experiences, and that's all fine, but we should still try to remain civilized to one another.

Not too preachy I hope.

Those pics were horrible..... Ouch....

I guess I must be a tad desensitized, because those probably should have made me cringe a bit....
