I rode a Buell. It didn't do anything for me.

Im glad I'm not the only one that wants a bunch of bikes... I want a Victory Vegas JP, Honda 919, Harley Nightrod, Suzuki V-Strom 1000, Ducati Monster S2R 1000, Buell Firebolt XB12, and a 250cc scooter... not sure which one though :D

(Tho the current 12's are pretty fun as they are)

Rumor is they are working on somthing similar, and because of the EPS regulations they may move to liquid cooled engines (not sure why this makes a difference). I don't know... with the race kit or race ecm and a drummer pipe I can't imagine needing more power out of this bike or any Buell. Even stock they are torquey as hell and with their light weight they really move.

I'm guessing a VTR would eat a Buell for lunch. My V-Max would and the Max and the VTR post very similar acceleration times.

I don't know much about the bikes you are talking about but what do you consider "eating for lunch"? top speed? handling? have you ever even ridden an XB12 for any amount of time? My Buell's "stock" specs are 84 ft-lb and 103 HP... not that specs mean anything to me... and not that I care what you or anyone else thinks about my bike either... but lets go for a ride sometime in the mountains if you are in the NJ area... you can chase me around all day on your heavy as heck clucky machine :D

I feel the need to add this about the V-Max... straight from yamaha's website

Trick-looking, onyx w/shift red flames finish on fuel tank combine with massive-looking faux air intake scoops to give the V-Max the perfect “street rod” look and feel. Faux.... fake? thats just what I want on my bike fake air scoops lol.

Based on my one ride of the Buell, I can tell you a V-Max will easily outaccelerate it, but I'm sure the Buell would handle much better. The Max isn't known for its handling. However, I'd be surprised if there's anything the Hawk can't do better than a Buell.

Bet the Hawk doesn't handle as well as the Buell :D There is a reason why the XB12R won "best cornering bike" in Bike Mag… I think you should test ride an XB12 again… they are light, fuel in frame (so there is no gasoline sloshing around at such a high point of the bike when you “flick” or maneuver) oil in the swing arm…under-slung exhaust… (both keep a lot of the weight very low on the bike). Not to mention the super short 51.9in. wheelbase and how balanced the bike is. I’m not sure how well you can tailor the suspension in the Hawk but the Buell has so many different places to adjust your head will spin. I am not trying to put down the hawk or v-max… but I guess you hit a nerve by saying it would get eaten for lunch :P
