Wow MSF Courses are so filled up.
I have to wait till early August to take mine, that's so long. All the schools in the San Jose area are all filled till then, I check in Aptos and Gilroy but no luck. Is there a way for me to just show up like on-call incase if someone comes late or doesn't go?

Well where I am you can go to the classes and try to get in on standby if there are no-shows to the class. Thats how I got in. YMMV.
A dog had his chain reduced one link at a time, every few days, until his chain was so short he could barely move. He never resisted because he was conditioned to the loss of his freedom slowly, over time. Are we in this country becoming like the dog?

I registered in February and didn't even make it on the first two weeks of opening season for MSF. You're lucky to have more of a season than I do here in northern Minnesota.
As for a substitute list, yes they have em. Get the local registrar's direct number and pester them on a weekly notice. You might be down deep on that list, but if you really want to get in before August, show some persistence and you'll likely get in earlier.

At my place, they had a phone number that you could call at 1pm on Wednesdays to see if there were any cancellations. Once I found at there was a cancellation, I drove straight to the local community college to sign up. There were at least 6 other people there doing the same thing.
Be persistent and you may get lucky.

So you're going to let me break it in Monday night?BubbaGump wrote:I spoke w. the dealer today - they're finishing the build today and shipping from Van tomorrow....should be here Monday...wahooo!

Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

i signed up to be on call in April and they ended up creating a new class because they had so many people wanting it. but they created this class before any of the others and so I get to take it in july (earliest class they offer).
