Who watches TV anymore? I have a TV in my house to run my DVDs, but thats it. I do pay for cable (15 bucks basic) because there are a couple of shows my wife will watch once or twice a month and sometimes we will turn on something at night before bed for 15 minutes.

Cable TV is going buh-bye as most people get on the net. I dont have time to waste watching TV news when I can get everything on the net, even the important video news clips, and view the information I WANT.

Course telecom is realizing this. This whole 'tiered' internet plan has nothing to do with fair use of their equipment, it has to do with the realization that cable TV advertising dollars are going to crash very soon and as soon as production companies realize they can make a fortune by cutting the middle man (cable companies) and distributing their shows streaming on the web, TV will become completely worthless.

The tiered system is basically to take in a cut, now in the way of extra bandwidth fees, to make up for the money they are about to lose from the TV industry.

i for one LOVE television. im watchign it right now. i do agree aotu the race card-

Bill Cosby had a speech about young (specifically black) men that they expect to be taken seriously in the white buisness world but still wear fubu jeans that are 3 sizes too big and talk like Lil'John. "poo poo", im white and i couldnt get away with that crap at work. if you want to "make it" in society, you conform. its not a race issue. i dont care what color your skin is, if you want a white collar job, you gotta put on the white collar.

and... i say "fudge" whatever happened to your great great great great great grandparents. i didnt do it.
i have some indian roots but im not bitchign that european decendants owe me anything.

.....wow, glad i got that off my chest.

I will not bury my head in the sand and say racism isnt a problem, but dont use it as a catch all blame for things going wrong.

Mine too, and you'd not catch me going skyclad except on the sunndiest of sunny days with neither a stinging nettle to be found...

I thought I'd bring this up.

It seems everyone is focusing on this Duke case now and villianizing the DA, Nifong. All I hear about is how he has been lying, putting this case forward without any evidence, and how he is politically motivated, bla bla.

Regardless of whether the DA is being ethical in this case or not, who is the one who really needs to come forward and admit to any lying? It sure isn't the DA. And if this does turn out to be all one big lie, we need to seriously prosecute the real predator in this case and send her to prison for a very long time.
