Hehe, great idea.

I'll be the first to sign up.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

You know what else is a crazy idea? I heard of these 'companies' that take you around to different sites in a 'van' or 'car' or even an open-top 'jeep'. Along the way they tell you about the history of it all...they call themselves 'tours' and you have to pay these people who work there, they call themselves 'guides'.

Once I saw one of these 'guides' with a horse drawn carriage taking people around New Orleans. He kept talking about stuff! What a joke!

I will call it a Motorcycle Tour and call myself a Motorcycle Tour Guide. I will be honest and charge $50 up to 10 people that go at the same time, if one person goes he's charged $50, 2 people will be charged $25 and 10 people will only pay $5 each. I got the idea from reading this forum and finding out there are a lot of people that have nobody to ride with, I have that problem too, im doing two things at the same time I get riding buddies and make money. I won't buy gas but I will pay for lunch for everybody, thats fair, throw in some safe riding tips, pick the right roads with high mountain scenic overlooks, riding thru state parks, and I am the only person in the state of PA that knows how to get to Gravity Hill, thats a section of road that looks like ur going up hill but its really down hill, what you do is shut off ur bike throw it in nuetral and it looks like ur floating up hill. Im asking you guys in this forum, would any of you guys pay for a motorcycle tour? Im serious its not a joke.

This is getting pretty funny. You get 10 people signed up @ 5.00 per and then you have to buy them lunch. So then you'll only be 50 or 60 bucks in the hole.

no, i wouldnt pay for a tour. But that is just me, a lot of people probably would though. One thought is that to do this legally, you know you'll have to carry insurance to protect yourself from getting sued right? That might be more then what you think.

My second piece of advice would be to try not to talk too much, at least until you have the people's money in your hands. You may want to have someone else write up whatever literature you have advertising your new business as well.

Also, you mentioned you'd buy lunch for everyone. Assuming you had 10 people in your group, and you charge $50 for everyone, where would you buy lunch at $5 a person? Is this a non profit organization?

I think that brings me to me third peice of advice, have someone else do your accounting for you. You can be *cough*, the brains behind the organization.

Anyway, good luck!

I would personally pay up to $650 for a service such as this.

No, what I mean I will charge $50 per hour, everybody splits the bill, and Im planning on making the ride 4 hours long, thats $200 total, as many riders I get everybody splits the bill to make the $50 per hour, like if I get 5 guys, everybody pays $10 per hour, lunch will only cost me $5 per person, like if I get 10 guys thats only $50, I still make $150. I kinda figure there are a lot of new riders that have nobody to ride with or don't know where to go to ride. I was thinking about this all day, im really serious, I know the perfect places to go and the best places to stop and eat. Insurance, I will check and make sure everybody has their own insurance, no insurance, they can't go. I think im giving you guys the same idea so you can be a paid tour guide too? huh?
