I have been rideing for 2 years on my dads and his friends bikes(a 750 cruser, and a 400) i found a bike for 1500 it a Honda CBR 600 Huricane.
1988 Honda CBR 600 F-1 Hurricane. Strong running bike.
30000 miles.
New Avon Azzaro II tires.
New fork seals.
New brakes.
New back rotor.
Vance and Hines muffler.
Turn signal eliminator kit.
Extra set of fairings. Corbin Gunfighter seat.
needs a little body work, but nothing that prevents you from riding now.
This Would be my 1st bike i would be buying i know it has 30000 Mi but i would ony use it this summer and next summer. so does it sound llike a good deal or should i pass it up(BTW in the pic it looks in good condition)
Thanks

Not a bad bike but I'd still say "no" for a first bike. Remember, it may be almost 20 years old but that's still a sportbike to the core. The power, brakes, and riding position are all aimed at speed. It's got about 85 horsepower, much more than you'll want to start off on. I'd say pass it up and look for something a little slower

recommendation for that bike would depend on how much riding you have been doing on your dad and friend's bike the last 2 years and such. price seems okay to me but not too familiar with the price on those.
if you haven't taken the MSF do that as well.

Yeah if you've already been riding a bunch on other bikes and feel comfortable on it, then by all means go for it.
I'm on my first bike and it doesn't fit the mold of a good first bike, but hey I'm managing not to kill myself on it.

Sounds like you've had success with those other bikes. Learning curve differs from person to person, but if your comfort level is good...give it a whirl.
I've driven a friend's Hurricane a few years back while in High School (15 yrs. ago). It's really fast! Waaay faster than a cruiser. Nice bike tho.
