Me on the right next to the Busa, my friend Steve with the R1 was hit on his way to work one morning about a month after this photo was take by a hit-and-run driver. He died of his injuries about two weeks later.

nope, nothing to do w/ how powerful my bike was...

i entered too late in the turn, hit some loose gravel, slid, panicked, and lost control in the canyons.

How can you enter a turn too late?
You obviously entered it too fast, ran wide and lost it. There is no need to make excuses, just learn to ride.

i was practicing delayed apex turns... but then the decreasing radius turn made me run very near the edge were i hit loose gravel.

there is such a thing as entering too late... i read it on nick ienatsch's book.
