So many things wrong with this. Get both?? those arnt cheap bikes man, getting both would be quite an investment. Especially as a new rider whom the bikes are too powerful for anyway. As for who you want to impress. If your riding simply to impress other people and chicks then your a squid whos riding for the wrong reasons. And how do you figure that one is better for attracting wemon anyway?? If a chick is brain dead enough to date you simply because you have a bike then chances are any bike will do it so your logic in that sense eludes me. I just hope this was a funny ha ha april fools post.

Keep in mind, that if you get Ninja 250, you'll get like 70/75 miles to the gallon. So if you don't need the extra power of the 500, I'd go with the 250 just for the gas mileage.

You will probably get bored on the 250 within a few months, you could easily get a season or two out of the 500 before your ready for something bigger

At least. Who wants all that down time waiting for slackers (excuse me, motorcycle techs) at the local bike shop? Might be prudent to get a Aprilia Tuono 1000R as well. As for attracting women (or men), you do not drive a Ferrari to shave 5 minutes off trips to the grocery store....

what do you mean waiting for moto techs??? You dont drive a ferari to shave 5 mins off, ok, you buy one to race. Do you think this guy is gonna race as a new rider? What he needs is a nice easy bike to learn on and gain skill with, not some fast sport bike to attract the ladies with.

Hmmm, I wouldn't mind having one of each of those bikes. But like most people I live in the real world, where things cost money. And you need a job to earn said money, and said money needs to be spent on other things such as food, clothing, and rent. Buying two bikes to start isn't feasible unless you're a spoiled rich kid. Is that why you're suggesting he get both? Do you have parents to buy you new toys whenever you want?

As far as bike choices, I'd advise against either of the two you've selected. Tear around on a ninja250 or 500 for a season, then get the bike you want.

Repairmen? Repair persons? I don't know the jargon... but I'm thinking of the guys who straighten forks, replace borked pegs, pedals, and turn signals, and otherwise "undo".

my guess is he likes those bike and wants one. But being new doesnt realize that you dont get those first. Thats what i think his motives were. And where you come from seems to a be a very sexual place.
