A hit and run on top of being drunk, I hope the lady in the beetle gets some serious jail time. I cant even imagine how selfish and irresponsible a person must be to hit someone in their car and drive away.

I hope your friend's foot heals ok and she gets her confidence back. Getting in a freak accident like that within your first thousand miles can easily make someone quit altogether.

I'm sure glad your friend is OK and well, bikes are replaceable. When I saw that this had happened in Irvine I freaked out because I had read in the paper last week of a biker killed in Irivne but I'm glad it wasn't her. I hope she gets anoth S40 and when she's ready to ride again lemme know and she's more than welcome to go for a cruise with me to Cooks
Corner. :D

You don't want to see the pictures of my foot or knees, bruises aren't sexy. And i think the title of this thread is over exaggerated. ^_~

But thank you for all the support! I just started going to work again and it's SUCH a pain in the butt to move around >_<!!!! Crutches suck, but having to bum rides is worse. I miss my bike and my mobility...

Funny story, so while picking up my bike from the impound, the guys at the lot and i were chatting and they asked "What kind of car was she driving?" and i told them, they said "Ya know, i think it was towed here too ..." <insert mischevious look> "Wanna key her car?" I laughed and politely said know. But how tempting!
