stereotypic jerks like yourselves (shiv and next dude) don't deserve the joys of riding. grow up

Sorry but pink has always been associated with females. It's done that way since birth. Hell even the 'It's a (gender)" cigars are color matched.

And minus teh recent trend where guys wear pink shirts (note that they're a dull pink, not bright like on the bike) the trend has held up.

So until such a date when they start giving pink balloons and what not to boys or the pink style catches on in a big way, I see no reason why as to debunk the current 'stereotype'.

But that's just a stereotypic jerks opinion. I hear we don't count for much now a days.

I'll bet it's really tough to miss on the street.

And I just gotta say that the whole pastel pink/pastel blue thing for boys/girls is totally mentally challenged. Babies have great difficulting making out pastel colors like that. And should in fact be given stuff with bright primary colors.

I think that shade of pink is really gross. It does look like Peptol Bismol. But if the rider of the bike enjoys it, then that's her business. Or his, but yes, probably "hers".

I girlie my bike up a bit. I have soft magnets on the gas tank. One is a blue and purple lotus flower. I hang and wrap jewelry on the bars (in a safe way, of course). The person who belongs on any bike is the person who loves their bike and loves riding.

yea... I thought it was obvious that that was not the stereotyping I was upset about... I was referring to the "mean" and the who's allowed to ride hyabusa-ma-call-its comments

but yeah, i applaud the woman w/ that bike. i don't think bikes are gender specific. but of course... personalized ones like thatare a diff story.

oh and from the website i got it from... it says its his wife's bike. all i can say is he better be telling the truth.

Attention mean and a mean are...different.

And by having a bright pink bike like that I can't help but think it's a girl just wanting to proclaim "Hey, I'm a girl, look at me, I'm riding a pink bike" and thus, attention mean.

I was just annoyed that you give someone credit for personalizing what is probably the love of her life by calling her an attention mean. Lots of people are damn proud to be riding so chill out on her.

Blue/pink for babies is for the parents and other adults, not for the infants. You put a pink bow on a girl and a blue shirt on a boy so everyone knows what gender they are...not because the infant needs some color based gender reinforcement.

Most toys ARE bright primary colors, aside from things like stuffed animals that sometimes come in the blue/pink variety.

We assign colors to things ALL THE TIME! To suddenly find it offensive or stupid because now it relates to gender is just silly.
