Does make for a great shot...and I'm not one to tell someone not to do whatever it is that they like to do (as long as its not hurting anyone)

But I think its a bit idiotic to ride like that on the street. He's pushed himself to the limit and if anything read ANYTHING went wrong he would have no safety margin to account for. A Little bit of gravel...a big pot hole...an oil slick...wildlife wandering into the road...or even (GASP) Human error of someone else taking their turn too fast and crossing over into this guys lane.

Ride 100%, and you have no % leftover to bargain for your life with.

i never really stick out my knee like that but have been watching alot of racing vids and such.
you only do that when your leaning with the bike right? and how do you set your foot on the peg then?

I've had my bike over enough to use the whole tire and be under 50 mph, I'm guessing on the size of that curve that he's doing 60-70, it's hard to tell though.

It looks to me like he's not riding 100 percent, he has plenty of room to work the bike.

I'm no expert rider...especially not of sporty track stunts...

...but isnt this guy cheating? His bike isnt leaned over that far, and it looks like he isnt even sitting on the bike...his body is completely off of it so he can lean over and skid his knee.

I dont think this person is doing the 'knee thing' correctly.

The whole purpose of hanging off the bike is so the bike itself doesn't have to lean as much for a given curve. By hanging off and dragging a knee, he's left himself more lean angle to bargain with should the need arise.

Sticking his knee out like that moves more weight to the inside of the turn meaning his bike doesn't need to lean as far.

Interesting...wouldnt that make the bike unstable though putting all that topheavy weight on one side?

When you are in a curve and are leaning off the bike like that, you can much more easily adjust the bike, for instance if you are going wide, just pull the bike down, if you're too far inside, just push it up. You should try it sometime, the curves can be taken with much more speed and control.

how many of you have got pictures of you while riding?

Hi guys!
I think that one is a great picture!
I believe it's between 60-70Km/h (40-50mph) because the curve seems quite sharp.
Well done to the guy that took that picture too: You must have some guts to stand there still, with a Big bike exiting a corner pointing to you!!!

Anyway, how many of you have got pictures of you while riding?

I think, I've got , nought!
