I haven't checked lately, but $16,000 plus is probably still quite bit higher than any Asian performance bike, and if you just have to have a BMW.....

No doubt about that.

Kawasaki ZX-12R MSRP $11,299
Suzuki Hayabusa 1300R Limited MSRP $11,099

Although it's still cheaper than the V-ROD starting at $17,695

thats my concern..... the rockster is PERFECT for me, power wise. it has guts, but its not crazy fast. the K1200R that will probably replace it..... I don't know .... it has the K1200S engine, and I think it will be too much bike for me.

I finally got around to looking at the pictures, and, as a long-time BMW fan, I don't really like it. My Honda CBR1100XX looks better to me, and it had a 205mph speedo to boot. Even my K1100RS was prettier than this new one. At least it doesn't weigh 640 pounds. But never mind, I know you all love it...... :)

I'm with you an a boxer powered sportbike, but for me the Rockster is not even close. My personal taste considers it hideous and it is also slow and heavy. If they coud make a boxer powered replacement for the R1100S that used technology similair to the new 1200 they would have a hit, IF they kept a better lid on the price.....and kept it comfortable(the major downfall to the old R1100S IMO)

I think the R1200ST

viewtopic.php?t=868

Is the replacement for the R1100S.

And I see it more of a replacement for the R1150RS. BTW, whomever designed the R1200ST headlight should be fired.....

I agree with you on the headlight. That's the truth.
