Sadly #23 is a mear 6'6". Think more Bill Lambeer.

Check out the bimmer dealer. F650GS Dakar was very comfy. Salesperson said it was 2" taller than the standard F650GS. Don't care to much for the Dakar or the extra price though. Off to the Harley/Buell dealer soon.

Thanks for all the input guys!

at 6'10" you should be devoting all your time on the basketball court, plenty of time and money for bikes once youre in the NBA

I'd definitely look at the Kawasaki KLR650. That is a pretty tall bike, and You can probably even get it a little taller if need be.

Well I think its settled. The winner looks to be a V Star Classic. Every 250 I sat on was a joke. The Honda rebel was tiny. The V Star classic/custom felt decent and is still small enough it should be a breeze to learn on and hone the skills. I like the cruiser feel, some of the higher seat bikes didn't feel all that great. I don't care for being that high off the ground. If I was OK with it the winner would have been the BMW GS650, perhaps even the Dakar.

Thanks for the input everyone.

I'm 6'5" + and have the vstar650 classic... I am installing a cheap kit that moves the foot controls forward 4.5 inches, and I have rotated the handlebars forward a few degrees... gives me a ton of knee room in the corners:)

So who makes the kit? That maybe something I'd be interested in!

cant vouch for the height issue, but I am 5'11" (245...ish) whos counting anyway.

Anyway... the point is my 03 Vstar 650 custom handles my weight and height without any hesitation and rides at 75 on the highway quite confortably.
