Actually, I just re-read your statement. The issue with the low oil light and the evidence of oil on the #1 spark plug does not sound healthy. The only way oil should be on the plug is if it sucked enough oil pass the air cleaner and into the intake tract. Which is possible since you overfilled it. If in doubt, have a compression check done. Engine's do not like for that red light to come on.
