I get treated well by the guys at the parts counter at the local Honda/HD dealer, the salesmen keep trying to sell me something every time I walk in.
Funny how I get parts for both my bike and my wifes bike from the same dealer LOL.
I have noticed that if you ride up on a standard the salesman will have no clue what to try to sell you LOL. Just going to the honda/harley dealer for parts I have had them try to sell me a CBR600, Harley sportster, V-Rod, and shadow VTX on different visits LOL

My BMW dealership orders and keeps in stock whatever tyres I ask him to, and actually puts my name on them. I have checked and they are cheaper than the tyre guys. They will also book in my bike for a tyre change within 24 hours and lend me a loaner bike if I need one. Our BMW dealerships are combined with the cars as well and they get a lot of cross sales because of the high service. Country wide we have BMW on Call that will recue you from anywhere. People say Beemers are expensive, not when we get this kind of service and we only service our bikes every ten thou.
I spent my therapy money an a K1200S
The therapy worked, I got a GS now
A touch of insanity crept back in the shape of an R1200R

Ha! You're not kidding! I rode to a dealer (on my Nighthawk) a few months back and told the salesguy I was looking for a good general purpose bike. Like maybe that Z750 in the corner. He actually tried to interest me in one of those ridiculous Big Dog custom choppers. I asked him, "Where the hell am I supposed to ride this thing?". His response, "Well, it's really only good for riding to the bar and back".jmillheiser wrote:I have noticed that if you ride up on a standard the salesman will have no clue what to try to sell you LOL.
Yeah, that sounds like it would be $30,000 well spent.

I deal with 2 different dealers. My Suzuki dealer doesn't even remember me, though I did buy my gixxer 5 yrs ago. Honda Dealer is better, but I just got my VTX a couple months ago. Overall, no probs w/either of them, no cards or phone calls though...
