Glad it was helpful. I worked hard to make one simple page that would teach everything I wish someone had told ME when I was researching info on learning to ride.StyleZ wrote:You have a lot of good information on your site. Was actually looking at it earlier today.
[b]Are you a beginner rider?
Have a lot of questions about motorcycling?
Not sure what bike to start with?

been thinkin about it all day. I'm leaning more towards a SV650S now.
I been watching a lot of motorcycle clips online of crashes. I never rode a bike so I can't really put together or comprehend the power they have, but I got a son and too much to live too get something out of my league and end up banged up.
Glad I'm just starting out now at 24, my mentality was different when I was 17/18. Luckily I was too cheap then to drop $225 on a MSF.
My MSF is next month so I have a good 1-2 months before I finalize anything. will research and check out dealerships for fitting

sucks dont it? im 6'5", so i definitely know what you mean. you should head over to your kawasaki dealer and check out the ninja 250. im in the market for a motorcycle too, and this one is currently my favorite. i sat on it for a good 15 minutes and it was very comfortable, it would be for anyone as tall as we are. (whoever said sportbikes arent for taller riders, well thats nonsense) its a smaller displacement bike so its perfect for a new rider, and at $3,000 brand new, its hard to resist. as for people saying youll quickly outgrow a ninja 250, the bike will beat all but the fastest cars on the road in a 0-60, and has a top speed of around 115. for a new rider, that should be plenty fast enough. unless youve got a deathwish, then you might want to consider something a bit fasterStyleZ wrote:Yeah, i'm use to that. Being my height most things aren't made me for me so I kinda expected that. Same with most cars I've owned.

$3000 isn't bad at all
I initially eliminated 250cc bikes so I never looked at this one before.
My only concern with a 250 bike is if it will be good for my weight. I don't wanna get stuck on the highway in front of a 18-wheeler and can't pickup speed lol.
Thanks for the info though. I will definitely check out this as well.

Belive it or not, the GS500 isn't all that small. I'm 6'6" and it's completely comfortable for me. I'm not all hunched over or anything, it's just....normal...
So don't let the look fool you; you actually have to go sit on the sucker to get a good feel of how it will be.
