it would be quite useless if you landed on your front, as in the movie the guy lands on his back. But it would save your "O Ring" if you did land on your back.

How would it be useless? Any protection on the body which this device provides is more useful than without. Landing on the front with a cushion of air could possibly save your ribs from punturing your lungs, your sternum, collar bone, etc. Bottom line...this device would provide more protection than the norm. Nothing about it is useless. Some is better than none.

if you look at the movie, all the air bags inflate on the back not the front, that is what i was getting at.
