Best job - Well, I work underground at a gold mine ATM, and I enjoy it so far, the weather is allways the same and I get a good nap *L and I get to blow stuff up, how rewarding is that?
Worst job - I spent a week sorting by hand nuts and bolts from a display case that fell over...... mind.......numbing......

Worst Job: six weeks as a temp, working for a company that made and retailed peat pots. The secretary was off on maternity leave and the manager had to go to Sicily for some reason I no longer remember. My job was to occupy the otherwse empty office (which was tiny), answer the telephone and make good use of the coffee machine. In six weeks I got one telephone call - from the manager, asking if there were any telephone calls. I was bored sh1tless week after sodding week.
Best job: working for a plastic bottles warehouse in Manchester. There were no fork-lifts. Everything had to be moved by hand. We spent our days monkeying up the tottering piles of boxes and throwing boxes to each other. I got bored after six months and left, but in that time I had a hell of a lot of fun chucking boxes around. I guess that says something basic about me. Other jobs have given me more 'satisfaction' but none were more fun.

Worst job. I got a job in an office of a restaurant food supplier. Everyone but me smoked and they wouldn't let me open a window. I quit after a week.
Best job. I was in a phase of my life where I hated everything, so at the age of 38, I got a temporary job to run a small hotel on a ski hill in Northern BC in winter. I quite my job, gave up my apartment, put my struff in storage and basically "ran away from home" for 5 months.
I got to ski for free and because I was doing a good job of looking after the little hotel I got a raise and a lot of respect. Although the ski hill lifestyle was not for me, it was good for me while I was there.
And it didn't hurt that my skiing improved significantly.
Oh and there was this blue-eyed guy....

worst job: lifeguarding at a public pool in a city. Almost got shot once for throwing the head of a gang out of the pool. At the time I was 16 and wasnt afraid of any punk!
best job: lifeguarding at a south facing beach with lots of waves and lots of hot women. At the pool there was never anyone to save. At the beach its always an adreniline rush.
Hopefully my career path will take me to my best job.
