Seriously , when you start getting your utility bills be sure to remind them that none of this exists .
It's all smoke and mirrors .

Oh and don't forget to light up .

Hope things finally work out. I can feel for ya. I went through a similar customer service nightmare with my Satellite company. Had a problem that was "fixed." Same thing happened again 3 months later. I went through all the quick fix stuff before I called.... didn't matter. I had to go through it all over again. The kid asks me if anything is blocking the line of sight between the satellite and the sky, FOR THE THIRD TIME IN 30 MINUTES after already being told NO twice. I'm mad. I'm frustrated... I say, "WOW, how did I not notice that magic tree that grew up overnight from nothing to suddenly block my satellite?" (obviously laced with sarcasm). He says, "AHHH, that would be the problem sir. You'll have to have that tree taken care of on your own since we don't handle those matters."
In the end, a supervisor called me the next day (apparently they DO listen to recordings or read reports occasionally) and we got everything sorted out.

LOL...I had a CS do that once. I was calling the bank pretty much on an hourly basis to get something fixed, and they kept asking me the same thing as soon as I got them, verifying name, account number, address, etc etc.
So finally when one picked up she asked to verify the first item, and I just went through the whole thing...told her my name, address, account number.
So the girl gets all mad saying I interrupted her and how rude I was. She literally would not shut up so I figured there was no way this person was going to help me, so I hung up and called back to someone else.
They're very sensitive

LOL, tech support is just as bad. When i had a huge problem with my internet, i phoned up BT and got some guy just reading crap queations off a screen, i told him some info, and he just said "I really don't know what you just said, so im going to get one of our tech guys", lol, 2 min later i was taking to someone that knew about computers like me. lol, they will hire anyone.
Im moving flat to another part of glasgow in 5 weeks, god help me when i try to get everything moved over to there.lol

Things are basically sorted out now. Got the phoneline up and running , susposedly set-up for highspeed dial-up service..... whatever that means, I don't really have high hopes..... but there is no other option other than regular dial-up.
I was at work when the supervisor called, so Lana talked to him. She is much nicer than I am.....

... but maybe that's for the better.....
The sattilite is sposed to be changed on the 28th by them. The dish deal I bought includes them doing the moving and set-up for no charge, but I was going to do it myself at first just to save time and confusion. Well we got confusion, and I spent too much time with this,
they can bloody well come out and do it themselves.
Gas and power can be handled face-to-face at the Town Office, and tend to go much better. We will soon see......

To set up the sat dish? Find the sat and point the dish at it, mount the plate and adjust it with your wife inside yelling "bars up! bars down!" hehe

Put the T.V. in the window and watch the bars yourself. After much angst determine that the trim-piece that you have mounted the dish to is 5 deg. out of plumb....at least this is how I did it....

If there was another internet option, then we would have ditched the phone line too. Provider service anyplace outside a good-size town or city is pretty grim. You kinda have to just take what you can get in smaller towns or in the country. They got you buy the short-n-curlys and they ain't ashamed to take advantage of it......

Landlines are cheap, and you should always have one in an emergency (a real landline, not a portable that plugs into the landline).
Net phones and cell phones don't work in a power outage
