+1 street bikes arnt made for the sand or gravvel, with nothing solid to grib they have no traction and then your SOL

I learned that one the hard way. I rode my brother's little XS400 to a beach party in Mexico. The last 5 miles was deep beach sand and took me about an hour. Every time I stopped, I had to rely on passing strangers to push me going again.

that powdery soft desert sand is the worst by far.

Well I wouldn't do it again and Okla. does have some good sand dunes.One not too far from where I bogged down at and in western Ok. a place called Little Saraha.
