The Gixxer probably lost because 4 cylinder bikes always lose in the corner games.
Bet the Duke would have beat whatever car it was, because its strength is hauling "O Ring" out of corners.

Nope, they have a list of all the vehicles they tested. Apparently they use the same track. The GSX-R1000 was faster than the Ducati. The car that beat the gixxer was the fastest vehicle they'd tested.

I saw that one.. they totally favor cars over bikes on that show. I call bias.
As far as cornering I have to take it slower with my jeep simply cause it could flip over, same with most suvs and junk on the road. I realize we said car, but some people consider a suv a car.

Veyron is faster, FYI.
My friend Dan has a 01 CBR929RR and a 04 Impreza WRX Hatch. He says his rex can corner faster, but his CBR929RR would beat it anyway because of the straights and corner exit acceleration. FYI this was him talking about this one fairly twistie mountain road in western MA. He also said he can't lean the bike over as far as he normally could because of the constant camber changes and uneven road surfaces you get on the road in some spots.
What do you want to compare?

What do you want to compare?
Street car vs. street bike?
street car vs. race bike?
race car vs. street bike?
race car vs race bike?
examples would be:
street car- honda civic, ford explorer, dodge ram1500, toyota corolla
you know... stuff you see on the street
race car- Mclaren F1, Saleen S7, porshe carerra 4 turbo, Lamborghini mursulago, any F1 track cars, exotic race-ready cars, being street legal doesnt mean they were designed as street cars.
street bike- BMW rockster, Triumph scrambler, honda 599, yamaha FZ6, Ninja 650, buel lightening
again... stuff you might see riding around your neighborhood
race bike- fully tuned haybusa, gixxer 1000/600, bimota tesi 2d, ducati999r, bikes you see at the track, built for the track.
(forgive me i dont know all my bikes, esp. high end very well)
and then my guess would be:
race cars > race bikes > street bikes > street cars
im not an expert, but this is my educated guess.
I am also going on the principal that Rossi is riding the bikes and Andretti is driving the cars.

It also depends on the track.

Car can corner faster...more rubber on the ground = more traction needed in hard corner.
However Motorcycles are faster out of the corners and into the straights. Practically no car could ever touch a nice bike in a straightaway.
