Thanks all for the suggestions. I'll look into getting a windshield. Perhaps if I can put one on for the occasional time I do a good highway run and be able to easily remove it afterwards, I'll do it.

Well I pulled the seat off my bike and first tried to tighten the terminal wires but they turned out to be tight on the posts. So then I removed the wires entirely, pulled off the battery strap and took it out to inspect the electrolyte level and it was within bounds. But I did notice that the terminals connections that are attached directly to the battery each with one screw were loose. So I tightened them and reconnected the wires to these connectors and so far no problems. I'm about to go hit the streets soon and make sure everything seems alright.

yes Its a loose battery connection, same thing happened to my new bike when it was 2 weeks old under warranty, the dealer charged me $115 cause loose battery terminals were not considered a factory defect.

 :wtf:

I can normally keep my cool, but I would have gone BALLISTIC right then and there.

Dealer setup. Even if you talked them out of the charge.

And the more they argued with me the louder I'd get. :mad2: :mad2:

Let me see how many potential customers I can run out the door with my flaming disgust with how they treat me as a customer.

No matter what the parent company would be getting a nasty-gram from me about customer service and how all of my riding friends are just amazed that their company would condone that type of behavior from one of their dealers.

Mine goes on for highway travel and comes off on the short, around town runs.
Thats exactly what I do. Using the windshield on the hi-way makes a big difference.

Oh yeah MotoF150. That would of been a free charge because of their crazy donkey setup or I would have gone to jail that day.
