As much as I love the look of these bikes, I can't stop but question harley's reliability history... But I heard the new Buells are bulletproof.
Thats a Suzuki SV650 not a buell

and to the op you want a SV650 not a SV650S the svs is more a sport than standard bike while the SV has the naked look you want.

-Must be able to go on the freeway with ease
-Must be reliable (less time in the shop, more time on the road)
-Must be good on insurance
-Preferably a twin, but not really important
-My budget is 3000-4000 Depending on what it is. (Canadian dollars of course  )
-Must be at least decent on gas
-Must be able to take a passenger
-Must be easily able to source parts
-I'm a short rider, about 5'8"
-Must be able to ride semi long distances, yes I know it depends on the rider, but I mean in general (about 150 -200 kms a day)
-Must be durable (hence the reason for the motard)
-Unattractive to theives (compared to a gixxer or ninja or whatever)
Lots of people are telling you to get an SV650.

I have an SV650 and I think it is too powerful for a beginner. Lots of people think it is fine for a beginner.

Sounds to me like you might want to look at a Suzuki GS500F or a Suzuki GS500. Those fit all of your criteria, but are a little more manageable than a Suzuki SV650.

Oh man, I got caught with my pants down on that one! . I didn't notice the S on the tank.

Or the lack of gas in the frame, and oil in the swingarm, and the perimeter front brakes, and sorry. LoL

Still a nice looking bike.
