It won't help you, but I get mine done at a place 'round here called "Shadetree". They will mount/balance/replace the rim liner for 20 dollars. You have to bring in the wheel OFF THE BIKE, but it usually only takes a 1/2 hour or so. You have to buy the tire from them.

They have really good prices on all kinds of stuff-www.shadetreepowersports.com

Well, I found a decent bike shop not to far from my house that is charging about $100 to order and mount the tire for me, so I'll be bringing the bike in on Thursday to let him mount it. Thanks for the help guys, I think next time I'll order it and mount it myself, just because I want to learn how, but right now I just want to get it done so I can ride.

yea, mount it yourself, its easy and don't worry about having it balanced, I never had any replacement tire balanced and never had a problem. After you learn how to do it yourself take ur tire irons, patch kit, and an air pump and tuck it away in ur saddlebags, then you can fix ur flat tire out on the side of the road, or do it for another biker in distress. Some bike dealers will refuse to mount a tire unless you purchace the tire from them.

MotoF150 wrote:best price on new tires ( www.americanmotorcycletire.com ) Dealer wanted $159 for a new Dunlop 404, I got the same exact tire for $66 with only $7.99 shipping charge, recieved it in 3 days. Mount the tire yourself, investing in a good set of tire irons is still less than what the dealer would charge to mount it and I would never trust any dealer with my bike they could rob parts off of your bike for another customers bike. I have seen them troubleshooting a bike by removing a part from another bike and installing that part on the trouble bike then they install the bad part on the good bike, its done all the time and most people don't know about it.
damn that place is cheap, i looked up some pilot powers and it was both of them were like 220 and shipping was free.
