I liked the video. The bike sounds very good! Nice pics as well, I like the first one especially, gives you a glimpse of the tank-art.

While watching the video my buddies and I were like "Ugh! That goldwing needs to use a few more of those cylinders he's packing. Pass him already!" lol. It is like getting stuck behind a schoolbus on a one lane road Drives me nuts!

Nice video. Looks fun. I hope to make it over there some day myself.

However, what's with the braking around the corners? I was taught to brake before hitting the curve and accelerate through it. It looked like the pickup truck used less brake in the curves than any of the motorcycles in view.

I went up 66 north of Rural Hall where there are tight turns and changing elevation (lots o' fun). I didn't brake in the curves. Am I missing something?

as for the braking in turns, there is a way to do it, its called trail braking. You let off the front but stay lightly on the rear brake when going into a REALLY sharp turn it helps keep you from running wide.

I can see why you passed that sportbiker, he had his weight on his arms so he couldn't move around much, he was stiff as a board on that bike, no wonder you passed him

I just got back. I'd have to agree! *All* the roads in that area are a lot of fun but the Dragon is an experience unto itself.
