it may not be the best in a straight line (what 500 is LOL) but it does corner decently. Once the fairing is off I am definately switching to bars with less rise.
During my canyon run I found myself having to load the front end up often to keep it from wallowing, a lot of that is probably from sitting bolt upright and having most of the weight towards the back, it turned smoother when I shifted my weight forward.
the minimum im going to do is remove fairing, install lower bars, better tires, EBC brake pads, 2 into 1 exhaust (the stock system is starting to spring a few small leaks from rust). I can do all this for pretty cheap. This is about my limit for sinking money into this bike at the moment. I still intend to upgrade by the fall, looking at the FZ6 as my likely next bike.
