I'm sure it can wheelie.

If I've wheelied my 750 pound (before adding my weight) cruiser by accident shifting into second...

I'm sure you COULD get your bike to wheelie.

Still don't do it unless you have the disposable cash to pay the $3000 or more it will take to fix your bike if you mess up in that one second.

Your talking replacing Fairings, Mirrors, Headlights, forks...not to mention frame or engine damage from crashing a wheelie.

It just seems stupid to me unless you

A) Plan on making money being in those squidly videos
2) Don't really care about your bike

I've ridden with lots of sportbikers (back when I had mine) and understand the occasional small wheelie is fun/not that hard to accidently pull...but I'm talking about those 60mph+ stand up wheelies on the highway that guys have passed me doing.

Just dumb to me.

BUt everyone has their own risks.

Remember a while back when you were looking for videos of squids wiping out? Just videotape yourself and your friends, and you should have all the footage necessary.

I find it very amusing how critical you were of sportbike riders who exhibit similar behavior, and here you are asking why you can't wheelie.

Yes, your bike can and will wheelie. The fault in this case is the rider, not the bike.

Forget what your friend says, do what you want to do. If you don't feel comfortable doing it, then don't.

For the record I only try wheelies on deserted streets at night, not out on public roads when there's lots of traffic.

There ya go, we all know accidents only happen on busy roads....

Why do or try them at all? the bike has two wheels for a reason. you want one wheel, get a unicycle.

Well, even besides the fact that most people on here think stunts are stupid, alot of people on here now think you're an "O Ring", so I doubt you're going to get real straight answer on anything.

People who hate me can go stick their willy in the chain of a bike and crank the throttle.

If you really feel you must learn to do wheelies, then why not go to a class for that instead of potentially leaving more carnage on the public roads?

Are there any other than On One Wheel in CA?

Anyway the reason I want to learn is not so I can stunt on public roads looking like a jackass, but rather a matter of control of the bike.
If I can safely control the vehicle on only the back wheel, it's a matter of discipline and skill.
My belief is if I can wheelie this low-torque thing, I'm good enough to handle pretty much anything.
